Alaska Moving Arts Center
Alaska Moving Arts Center
Contemporary Dance is a style of theatrical dancing that is not as restricted as classical ballet. Sometimes it takes the form of 'modern dance' or gives an interpretation of music or thought. Classes combine several dance forms, focusing on technique and "dropping the weight" for a more grounded movement quality. Expressive movement and the abstract ideas of modern dance are fused with many different movement ideas.
Contemporary Dance ages 6 and up.
